These magnets need lots of energy and timing to work right, hence the large case underneath the barrel of the gun. The humps on the side are the magnets that are precisely timed by the EPU which is positioned in the handle. The round fired is actually a steel bullet. When all of these pieces work together just right the result is a lethal shot with literally no sound whatsoever.
